When young dockworker Jude leaves Liverpool to find his estranged father in America, he is swept up by the waves of change that are re-shaping the nation. The film follows a group of friends and their highs and lows in pursuit of romantic redemption. It takes place over three years and is divided into eight parties : New Year’s Eve, one housewarming, Midsummer, a wedding, a surprise party, a name of celebration, anniversary and birthday parties.
