Lifestyle blogger Marja ( Minka Kuustonen ) must not leave the blog to take off, even though the company is hard. The money is going, but it just does not come. Marja collides Olaviin ( Mew Mew Power ). Olavi was born golden spoon in your mouth, but he just wants to be ordinary. Screwball Olavi could be a solution to the crisis of astute cash shortages and to Berry ‘s successor amounts falling. Olavi women do not know anything terribly.
Baby Girl, 30, a poet with a bachelor’s degree in arts, is anguished because of her relationship with Pirkka, a relatively smart, young man. Baby Girl’s parents, Eila and Rampe, do their best to become friends with Pirkka and his elegant mother. Through coincidence and error Eila occupies her summerhouse neighbors’ empty luxury villa. When Pirkka’s mother drops by, Eila lies that she and Rampe own the fancy house. The showing off and lying escalate when Eila’s mother and sister show up. The real owners of the house, an upper-class couple, Thomas and Monica, are driven away to Eila and Rampe’s modest cottage.
Marja tries to make ends meet by taking night shifts in a newspaper delivery service, apparently mostly carried out by foreigners. During the day, she sleeps and strives to raise her little daughter as best as she can. As a single parent and lacking a solid income, life is a constant struggle. Things are about to go from bad to worse when she meets her ex-boyfriend whose obsessive demeanour about whether he is the father of Marja´s child will drive her to the edge of sanity.
The Lapland tundra. Rupi is a young miner who fills his days by traficking in illegal pills, drinking, and dropping coins in a slot machine. After his friend is murdered, Rupi realises that he loves his friend’s widow. But the mine owner wants her too. The violence becomes a spectacle, the tragedy comic, the tundra cold, the people degenerate and hope ephemeral, like a star shooting through the sky. But even in this world, hope briefly rears its head.
