The career and personal life of writer Lee are at a standstill, so he divorces his bashful wife, Robin, and dives into a new job as an entertainment journalist. His assignments take him to the swankiest corners of Manhattan, but as he jumps from one lavish party to another and engages in numerous empty romances, he starts to doubt the worth of his work. Meanwhile, top TV producer Tony falls for Robin and introduces her to the world of celebrity.

A single mother, with dreams of becoming a writer, has a son at the age of 15 in 1965, and goes through a failed marriage with the drug-addicted father.

The story is about an elderly Chinese tai chi chuan teacher and grandfather who emigrates from Beijing to live with his son, American daughter-in-law, and grandson in a New York City suburb. The grandfather is increasingly distanced from the family as a “fish out of water” in Western culture.

Longtime friends Ronny and Nick are partners in an auto-design firm. They are hard at work on a presentation for a dream project that would really launch their company. Alexa’s character owns a photo studio where she creates the most beautiful portraits for engagements, business owners, real estate brokers, etc. in a formal studio setting. In addition to photography, she also conducts videography. Interestingly enough, mysteries have a way of finding her and she has a strong intuition and knack of solving them. Sometimes the mystery comes through the doors of the shop, sometimes it might be something she sees while shooting on-assignment, and sometimes she’ll spot something at a crime scene that everybody missed. Alexa’s character also uses her videography skills to start a part-time job – she gets a police scanner and begins to take the store van to breaking stories – could be a fire, could be an accident or even a murder. If her footage is good, she tries to sell it to local news stations for broadcast.

Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.

Unfortunately an evil Team Rocket member, Viscious a.k.a. “The Iron Masked Marauder”, tries to capture Celebi using his technology. As Ash and Co. try to get away from Viscious, they also run into Jessie, James, and Meowth, who also want to capture Celebi. Soon it becomes a race against time to get Celebi and Sammy back to the forest before Celebi is caught and is used to destroy the forest and themselves.
